Dental Staff

Dr. Van Appledorn is a graduate of Hope College and The University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He loves private practice dentistry and thoroughly enjoys working with his staff and interns serving his patients. Currently, he also is associated with the Holland Free Health Clinic in a volunteer dentist capacity. Dr. Van Appledorn has served on several local organization boards and committees and helped organize the local Holland Audubon Society.

In his free time he enjoys many outdoor sports (yes, even in the winter), camping, exploring, and nature photography, but also finds time for a good concert. His family is spread across the country providing his wife and him base camps for adventures and travel.

Amy has been employed with Dr. Van Appledorn since…. well since he opened his practice. She enjoys the dental field and is grateful to work in a friendly professional atmosphere, establishing great relationships with co-workers and patients.

Amy was raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and still commutes so she can support her many nieces and nephews in their academic and sporting endeavors. She loves her free time taking care of her furry four-legged family, and is always ready for sunshine and travel.

Charmin has worked in the Dental Field since 1993. She has been with Dr. Van Appledorn since 1998. She lives in the Holland area with her husband Kirk. She enjoys camping, traveling and warm sunny weather.

Jodi is a lifelong resident of Holland. She and her husband, Gary, have four grown children. She loves traveling and visiting National Parks, biking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She has been a Kids Hope Mentor for several years. Jodi works at the front desk and is the one to call with insurance questions.

Carlya graduated from Grand Rapids Community College in 2017 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been with Dr. Van Appledorn ever since. She lives in Zeeland and enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, as well as her daughter, and 2 stepsons. In the summer, she enjoys going camping at Silver Lake and off-roading in the sand dunes.

Madison, aka Madi, has been with Dr. Van Appledorn since February 2021. She enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Dayne, as well as her sister, Paige. Madi enjoys the outdoors, camping and is the pickiest eater you'll ever meet (according to the office staff).
